To keep members up to date on the energy and water markets and customer compliance through information, advice, training and meetings.

To help members buy and manage their organisation’s energy and water, and/or get the best out of their consultants.

To link members with government departments, the regulators and other energy agencies to provide timely insights and valuable feedback on future policy initiatives.

Meet the team

Andrew Bainbridge

PRESIDENT
Andrew set up the MEUC in 1986 and has stepped back recently to become our President. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Directors, a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman and Past Master of The Worshipful Company of Fuellers.

Andrew Buckley

CEO
Andrew continues to enjoy a long career in the energy markets having set up his first business energy information subscription service in 1976. He is the author of several books on the energy market and has spoken widely on the subject.

Eddie Proffitt

TECHNICAL DIRECTOR
Eddie represents the MEUC on several committees and working groups with government departments, the regulator, network operators and other industry groups. Highly experienced, he is also the lead expert advising and visiting members to discuss their energy issues and concerns.

Peter Roper

COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
Peter looks after the sponsorship programme, important to allow us to maintain the range and depth of services to members within the limited annual subscription. Having worked in the publishing industry for many years, Peter also edits our glossy magazine “Buying and Using Utilities”

Caroline Buckley

MEMBERSHIP MANAGER
Caroline makes sure all members get the best out of their subscription and is the prime contact for existing and new members either answering the questions raised or ensuring they get answered by the appropriate colleague. She also looks after members’ registrations for attending events.

Sandra Barradas

EVENTS MANAGER
Sandra has over 24 years’ experience running events, Sandra’s main role is to organise our conferences and meetings. Co-ordinating speakers and looking after delegates, Sandra ensures MEUC events run smoothly on the day.

Claire Slade

EVENTS ADMINISTRATOR
Claire looks after our data management requirements and delegate administration. She ensures delegates are registered and receive their joining instructions for events and also plays a central role in keeping the website up to date
