McKinnon & Clarke buys Encore

McKinnon & Clarke (M&C),a energy procurement and compliance specialist company,has purchased energy risk specialist,Encore for £6.25m. Its CEO,Simon Northrop , believes this latest acquisition is an
important step in the creation of a 'next generation' energy consultancy,saying "The challenges facing organisations when managing their energy consumption are complex and potentially detrimental to the success of their business.It isn't a matter of buying cheaper;it's about creating a robust energy risk management and procurement solution to
protect not only the company's bottom line,but also ensuring it is operating within the law."

The announcement coincides with the unveiling of a new a name and brand identity for McKinnon &Clarke.
Effective from 1st July,the company will be known as M&C Energy Group .
