MEUC objectives for members

The MEUC acts as an independent clearing house of information for the benefit of its Member subscribers. These are drawn from medium size and larger industrial, commercial and public sector organisations.

Buying, Using and Planning Energy with Confidence

The Council provides a raft of services through meetings, publications and on demand support to its individual Members. These are designed to ensure their organisations’ energy costs reflect their purchasing power and they can plan ahead with confidence for the transformation to the low carbon economy.

Representing Members’ Interests

The Council represents the interests of its Members on various governmental, regulatory and supplier committees including the influential Business Energy Forum, run by the Department of Energy and Climate Change and chaired either by the Secretary of State or a Minister. The MEUC also offers advice and can take up issues on behalf of Members either individually or collectively when these arise with regulators and the supply industries.

Providing a Prompt and Courteous Service

MEUC Members hold responsible senior positions within their organisations and for whom time is at a premium. The Council’s much experienced staff strive to provide attentive and friendly support to enquiries and through all its services.
